Postcards from Abroad

Postcards from Abroad is a travel blog by Brisbane-based travel blogger Deb. The blog involves all things travel for women over 40 and documents and shares the personal travel experiences of Deb and her friends.

Before working with Tracey from Webwise Digital, Deb struggled to run her website due to a lack of technical knowledge. She had issues with uploading media such as videos and photos and problems with generating traffic. The website was slow and not user-friendly. So, Deb contacted Tracey for a whole new website design.

Website experience

Deb had an amazing time working with Tracey on redesigning her website.

She describes the experience as being easy.

Tracey was patient and explained everything face-to-face with Deb.

For her, this was a big plus; being a slow learner and someone who prefers talking in person, Tracey being so accommodating, and patient made the whole experience 10x better.

Together, they were able to design a whole new website, one that met all of Deb’s expectations and more.

Feedback on the experience working with Tracey

Working with Tracey was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I was struggling with technical issues on my website and had no idea how to fix them, but Tracey stepped in and turned things around. Not only did she solve the problems, but she helped me completely relaunch the site to make it more user-friendly and visually appealing. I’ve seen a noticeable increase in traffic, and people have complimented me on how great it looks. Tracey is incredibly patient and knowledgeable, always willing to explain things clearly and make sure I understand. I now feel more confident managing my site, and I couldn’t have done it without her guidance. I highly recommend Tracey’s services to anyone looking to improve their website; she offers incredible value at a reasonable cost!”

how to overcome the technical challenges of a DIY website

During this website redesign, there were a few challenges met, the main one being Deb’s lack of technical knowledge. However, this didn’t end up being a big challenge, as Tracey was patient and happy to work with Deb at a slower pace to make sure she could understand the process. Deb was also able to learn a lot about managing her website and how to make it more user-friendly, faster, and easier to navigate. She also learnt a lot about image sizes and embedding videos.
