PEARL Plumbing faced a significant challenge when their WordPress website became inaccessible. The website, created years ago by a local developer who had since relocated, had been out of action for weeks. They had limited knowledge of how to manage or access the site, no recent backups, and minimal updates made since its creation. These issues left the business with a broken website, no way to fix it, and a diminished online presence.

They approached me for help in recovering their website. Initially, the goal was to restore access and functionality to the existing site. However, after diagnosing the website’s condition, we agreed on a new brief: to rebuild the website from scratch, ensuring it was modern, functional, and easy to maintain while preserving the brand’s identity.

    I thoroughly assessed the website's backend and managed to recover around 70% of the content. However, the site’s outdated software and plugins caused critical errors, making further updates unreliable.

    After consultation, we agreed that a full rebuild would be more time- and cost-effective than attempting to salvage an outdated and unstable website.

    I designed and developed a new WordPress website with a modern look and feel and enhanced usability. The new site is a simple one-page WordPress website tailored to their business goals, including robust security measures and scalability for future growth.
